## __Summer Assignment Checklist__

When you have completed Part A, you should be able to:

4. Complete the Welcome to Malloway! Problem Set on pages 11-15.

5. Complete the “Math with Units” reading and the practice question on pages 16-17.

When you have completed Part B, you should be able to:

1. Watch the video on scientific notation, filling out the notes on page 18 as you go.

2. Complete the practice problems on page 18. Check your answers against the key found here.

Part C is just for review and for me to see what graphical interpretation skills you already have. There is no answer key to this section; I just want you to do it without outside resources to see where you are.

__Part A: Units__When you have completed Part A, you should be able to:

- Convert between different units of measurement, including rates and ratios.
- Add, subtract, multiply, divide with units
- Determine the units of an unknown quantity using an equation

- 1 kg = 2.2 pounds
- 1 meter = 1000 millimeters
- 1 meter = 100 centimeters
- 1 kilometer = 1000 meters
- 1 gram = 1000 milligrams
- 1 kilogram = 1000 grams
- 1 liter = 1000 mL
- 1 mL = 1 cubic centimeter
- 1 mile = 5280 feet
