Big Question: How is energy transferred into, out of, or within a system? Identify how energy is stored in a system and how it is transferred (working, heating, radiating). Determine when work from an external force is positive, negative, or zero
Solve problems using the concept of conservation of energy and workenergy theorem.
Understand how external forces can work on a system to transfer energy in or out of the system. Calculate the amount of energy transferred in/out by forces working on the system, using a known force OR a forcedistance graph.
Understand that power is the rate that energy transfers in/out of a system. Calculate power.
Define Simple Harmonic Motion and relate its associated properties (period, frequency, amplitude, etc) to physical properties (mass, spring constant, length, gravitational field strength) Additional Resources
